I rather use my tokens to get something worth it, I'm not risking my cash for crap items.

Which is exactly why it's optional. 

A few blocks of cobble stone? Really?

Yep.  It's just an idea for another item to spend tokens on, completely optional.  The concept behind it is that it's a bit of gamble -- you might end up with something that really wasn't worth the tokens at all, but another time you might get something worth far more than what you spent.

We'll probably avoid doing anything like random bonuses on token rewards, primarily to keep it as fair as possible.  Even though random is random, I know it can feel a bit unfair when someone has better luck than you.  Tokens are such an important part of rewards and bonuses on PickAxis, that we don't want to harm the balance that we've worked to create.

However, we are considering some other ways of gaining extra tokens.  Some ideas would be to give you a few bonus tokens once you've voted on all sites in a day, or the ability to earn a smaller amount through gameplay or just based on time spent online.

We're also considering a special item to spend your tokens on, which would give you a random item out of a list of items.  The random reward could range anywhere from a few blocks of cobblestone to an awesome diamond pickaxe with some enchantments that go a bit above what you'd normally be able to get.

We haven't yet confirmed whether we'll be adding any of these features yet, so let us know what you guys think!  We'd love to hear more ideas from the community, too!

We did mention on the original news post that it was intended to be available to everyone during alpha for testing.  We gained some valuable insight during the testing phase, and despite saying it would only be available during alpha, we felt it was necessary to leave it in until the token shop was open, which is why it was only recently removed.

With that said, we discussed changing the cost of WorldEdit in the token shop.  We've decided to replace the 1-day WorldEdit costing 300 tokens with a 3-hour option costing only 50 tokens, and believe that this will be a better option since you won't need to save up tokens for it.

The PickAxis Heroes & Villains Build Contest will be ending soon! Remember to submit your plot for judging by using /plot done while standing in it. Plots must be submitted by tomorrow morning (Monday, December 1st) at 5:00am Eastern Time. If you don't submit your plot, the judges won't be able to review it!

We look forward to seeing what super heroes and villains have inhabited the city!

I just voted again today and again, didn't get the tokens, and I put my name in the exactly the same as when I vote for other servers

We're still working on some issues with not receiving credit for voting, which should be fixed within the next few days.  Rest assured that all votes are being logged, and you will receive the tokens for them when a fix is implemented.

WHY?!

We're going to handle staff applications a bit differently when we open them in the future.  You'll be able to register your interest to become staff, and we'll review the list of interested players from time to time when we're ready to bring more people on-board as staff.  We don't plan to have any lengthy questions in this, as we'll ultimately be evaluating players who are interested based on their actions and history in the community.

We have plans to start tracking play time in the near future, with a breakdown for each server.

We do have plans to allow players to obtain more plots (and possibly larger plots) in the future, though the specifics aren't finalized yet.

WorldEdit is now available on the PickAxis Creative server! During alpha, it will be available to all players for testing. If you're new to WorldEdit, you can check out their wiki to get started.

There is currently a 6000 block limit per edit, and certain blocks cannot be placed with WorldEdit. Additionally, not all WorldEdit features are enabled. If you come across a feature that you think should be added, please let us know!
