The lifeforms of PickAxis have been out searching for new inhabitable areas of the galaxy. Throughout their journey, they've found quite a few planets, ships, and other creations from some very talented builders. After quite a bit of consideration, they've tabulated the data on which creations might be of use to them.

  4. How this works can be a bit tricky at times... it will try to enforce the time limit to the best of its ability without putting excessive load on the servers. It is supposed to give warnings at the 10, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 minute marks, and every 15 seconds after that. Ultimately, this can mean that sometimes you might not receive a warning, or that you might get some extra flight time. In any case, it should safely send you back to the spawn point if you run out of time.

  5. It doesn't appear to be possible with the chest protection plugin at this time, due to how armor stands are entities, not blocks.  However, Towny should properly protect armor stands, and we're looking into a way to protect areas without needing to be part of a town.

  6. We'd like to gather some feedback on Ender Dragon respawns, specifically how often, when, and how to announce it. There are a few ideas that we have in mind, but we're open to consider any others that are brought up as well. We'll probably aim for a respawn once per week, ideally in a way that isn't on a specific day or time, to give everyone an equal chance to take part in the fight, regardless of their normal schedule.

One idea that we'd like to consider is respawning the Ender Dragon once every 8 days. This could either be on a timer, so that it spawns exactly 8 days (and possibly some number of hours) after the last kill, or it could be done at a specific time on that day. This allows the spawn times to be predetermined and announced ahead of time.

Another idea is having it spawn at a completely random time each week, and announcing it immediately when it does. This system would determine the spawn time at the beginning of the week, and just trigger it at the right moment. (Another option, however, is to not predetermine the time, but instead to have a chance of happening during any given hour, which would increase as the week goes on, until it actually spawns.)

Which would you prefer? The ability to plan and prepare for the fight ahead of time, or the excitement of being able to take part in something spontaneous and random?  Or do you have another idea altogether? Let us know!

  7. We've narrowed down the cause of this issue and will be working on a permanent fix soon.  In the meantime, you shouldn't be seeing any extra players due to this issue, just extra islands and chests to loot.

  8. We really like the idea of having an open world on Creative, while still having restrictions on who can access it. We discussed this a bit today, and want to get some feedback on our idea of how to implement this. (Keep in mind that this is still an idea, and subject to change, delays, or complete and utter annihilation.)

What about having three worlds -- one being the plot world we have now, another being a flat land world that anyone can get build access to for a certain amount of tokens, and the last being a natural terrain world that would require some sort of application to be able to build in. We'd want to encourage collaboration in the open worlds, so we probably wouldn't offer region protection. However, we would track changes with a logging plugin to rollback any griefing that may occur. We'd enforce a zero-tolerance policy for griefing in the open worlds, where any player who is griefing will have their access from both open worlds permanently revoked.

So, what are your thoughts on this? Have anything to add? Let us know!

  9. Since island warps are meant to be part of a token reward package, banning is also a part of that. (Setting island warps was previously available to all players for testing.) Keep in mind that at this time, the only thing /is ban does is prevent them from being able to use the warp you've set for your island.
