Difference between normal world and resource world?
_Casanova Admin replied to MrsDalek's topic in Survival
I can check prism for you, should say if anything was done to it -
This is what, in the medical field, they call 'Tripping balls'
-
Has it been when a bunch of other people have been online?
-
You are sort of asking for a stone gen that doesnt use lava or water. Cacti is nice and all but it does destroy any drops that touch it

I do like the idea of the nether/end in skyblock being a high risk area to go into. Mixes things up a little bit from the norm. At the same time Skyblock also needs Mob arenas to battle WITH other people and win other rewards... possibly 1.8 items we cant normally get since skyblock is, well, skyblock.
-
Granted, but its 90% cocoa I wish my chocolate hadn't of melted this morning on my laptop
-
I can see through Huskers charade and know she is mocking me
-
So I believe the end/nether get reset soon, just wanted to give you all a heads up that not all the nether fortresses have been raided So if you need diamonds, gold, or iron... there is still some to be had.

{bug} Can't repair on skyblock
_Casanova Admin replied to vertigolf Mod's topic in Technical Support
Vertinoob, its a 1.8 glitch since we are not fully 1.8. #1. Change client to 1.7.x or #2. get more xp until it works I forgot the moral of the story. Its lying to you. -
So we see some odd pics, show the best ones you have found

Yeah the best idea is to place torches in a grid pattern, always 3 blocks between each torch, That will prevent hostiles from spawning. We already limit the mobs to 25 per chunk, Skyblock has always been a magnet for massive mob buildup. P.S. If you dont like the look of torches, try glowstone in the floor with carpet on top, or snow
-
Well sure, I could make a cobblestone gen that will go twice as fast, but it takes twice as long to mine. Stone breaks quicker, Plus if you have a Eff V pick and a beacon with Haste II, the stone instantly breaks.

Please note how he referred to it as a touchpad drive, Does it support blu ray and dvd? it better. -
Yes, Pig is my tech support agent. On a side note, since he completely ignored my original question, which, turning the touchpad off will not fix, here is a comic about how I currently feel. http://theoatmeal.com/comics/customer_service

Id like to take a minute to list the known bugs of the new skyblock plugin, just so we have a log of what has been found so far. So first off from Twisted_666, we have: Lighting issues, his lighting is borkud "Others may have similar issues" #2 Items despawning on death: A few have said that their items are despawning the moment they die. #3 Multiple island parties "known "feature"" #3a. People must type /is home ISLAND OWNER NAME, to get to their new/main island party "Hint for anyone who doesnt know how to get home" #4 Jzip broke skyblock "Figures" #5 Things have spawned in the buffer zone "Unsure if that is due to a failed World Edit copy, but still worth mentioning" #6 Animals need replacing "meh" #7 Weather is on #8 If you look at the sky, you can eat on other peoples islands "wot?" #9 Cant place mob eggs in item frames "Known MC bug perhaps"? #10 Being able to attack hostile mobs on other peoples island "I dont recall this being a feature, may lead to minor annoyances, but not a necessity" #11 Jzip broke skyblock again "sigh" #12 Challenges "Known and being worked on :)" #13 /is "Would be nice to send you home, but w/e" #14 Warning message about island creation "after /is create, it sends you to the spawn being all confused until the island is "built"" #15 Others can operate doors and gates on any island If I have missed anything, please add them below.

[_Casanovas Helpful Hints] #2 Mob limits/Chunk identification
_Casanova Admin replied to _Casanova Admin's topic in Skyblock
Stuffed up nose, you know? :3 -
I just woke up so this will be full of laziness and half written sentences Don't you just hate when a sentence doesn't end as it. Okay so this should be a quick one. Mob Limits: So I am sure many of you have noticed that mobs can only build up to a maximum of 25 per chuck, If not, now you know (The more you know!) With that being said, you can have up to 25 passive and up to 25 aggressive mobs in any given chunk. This is good news for iron farms because if you play your cards right, your village cells will be all in their own chunks and 4 iron farms on top of each other will only hit 16 villagers per chunk. This is a hard limit, there is no way to bypass it, not by eggs or anything. Other good news is that even if the chunk is filled already to the 25 limit and you use a spawn egg, it will still spawn and kill some other mob in that chunk, so you wont lose your spawn egg. Chunk Identification: Some of you may wonder what a chunk is and how do you know where one ends and another begins. First off a chunk is always without fail 16x16x256. Usually if you look off into the distance you can see your chunks loading in, well, chunks of 16x16 areas. Here is an image I made to show you how to know when you leave/enter a new chunk (F3 menu) So as you see, the X,Y,and Z are your axis. Those don't really matter I just figure I would point it out, what we will focus on is the yellow underlined numbers. While you move they will constantly fluctuate between 0-15, any time it rolls over from 15 to 0, you just entered a new chunk. I don't think I can explain it any easier than that Even the best of us have to double check what we do, as you can see in the following picture, I drew out a chunk above my iron farms as a guide to know how many villagers should be in each so I don't hit the limit. I drew this out in cobble above my iron farm just as a visual guide. as you can see I built this AFTER my iron farm because 2 cells are in the same chunk. (gg me) The inside area of the chunk is 14x14 plus 1 on each side as the boarder of the chunk to make it 16x16. Which is why its a 2 thick boarder, since each chunk has its own. To know you are in the corners of 4 chunks, the numbers in your F3 menu need to fluctuate as (15),(15) , (0),(15) , (0),(0) , and (15),(0) The 4 blocks that show those numbers will be the corners of 4 chunks All of this will come in handy when determining where to build mob grinders to animal farms to iron farms. If you don't pay any attention to it, you're going to have a bad time. As always, feel free to comment openly. If I missed something, correct me (I probably wont ban you) -_Casanova

[_Casanovas Helpful Hints] #1 Iron farms
_Casanova Admin replied to _Casanova Admin's topic in Skyblock
Yep I forgot the link. here are a couple different types Small: Medium: 4-0h-4 Video not found (too lazy to find it) Standard: Bat shit crazy large: -
Welcome to my first installment of hints that I have picked up over the years about skyblock. Some of these you may already know, though I hope you all find something useful in the things I know Iron Farms 101: Farms that make iron (Who knew!?) First off with the basics: Iron farms consist of doors, a platform to catch iron golems, and last but not least, villagers. It takes 10 villagers before iron golems will start to spawn, most iron farms have 4 cells with 4 villagers in them each for 16 villagers. Anywhere between 10-20 will make a golem.. when ever it wants. Here is a link to a standard iron farm (Note to self: don't forget to insert the link here) Now there are a bunch of different types of iron farms you can make, simple Google search will give you more than enough to work with. Im sure a lot of you already know how to build iron farms, pretty simple concept, but do you know exactly how close/far away from each other they can be without them merging? If you do, congrats! If not, well yeah, keep reading. Iron farms need to be a certain distance away from each other or they will merge and you wont see much (if any) iron. So the first thing most people want to do is to stack them, one on top of another, which can be done if you have AT LEAST 70 blocks between the top of a door on the lower iron farm and bottom of a door on the upper farm. (don't let that confuse you) 70 blocks vertically (up and down)! So yeah, don't forget... 70 blocks on the Y axis (still up and down) Which is very good news, if you do this right you can fit up to 4 iron farms on top of each other in skyblock Okay now that is taken care of, how about if you wanted to place them in the corners of your island? can it be done? Short answer is yes.. long answer is also yes. Hooray! Okay so If you wanted to place them side by side they have to be AT MINIMUM 64 blocks between any of the 2 closest doors. Can I stress the IN BETWEEN part again? if there is not 64 spaces in between the doors, then guess what? they just merged and you messed up... congrats! Destroy the doors and start again.. noob. So lets recap. 70 blocks MINIMUM between doors on the Y axis (up and down) and 64 blocks on the X or Z axis (side to side). ^this is the main point I wanted to make. I hope this tip (No sway) has helped you a little bit. I will try to post my brain matter here on a regular basis to halp with skyblox. Feel free to comment openly -Casanova
