I'm pretty sure you can turn off the rain with optifine. The price of creating a town seems fair, It's just very hard right now due to the lack of ways to get money at the moment, well that and the players. It will be easier as the game progresses past beta. The /wild command i "think" is already being worked on, it has been suggested before. As for 1.8, we will see what happens, I wouldnt worry about it.

Use tiny pic to browse for the screenshot and when u find it upload and copy the code for the option. For example http://tinypic.com/ Hit browse, Find the screenshot and select it. After you select it then click upload now. After you do that youll come to a page like this. http://prntscr.com/4dtof4 When you get there copy the forums text. (All of it) and then paste it on the forum post. :3
