Hi everyone, I'm typically Untypical, or you can just call me Typi, or on the server I'm Untypical. I am both excited and super nervous, one of my friends said this is a really friendly site and server and I've never played Multiplayer Minecraft so I'm looking forward to it. 
 
I'm 23, I've only been playing minecraft for about a year now and I'm not super creative but I love trying to make redstone contraptions. 

Today was a very exciting, nerve-wracking, harrowing day for my islandmates and I! It took all of our ingenuity, strength, a few deaths, and much laughing but we managed to complete the task set before us!

Did I fill out the form correctly?  I only answered a couple questions.
Yes, you filled out the form correctly.  There are only a couple questions to fill out: your name and the servers you would like to staff.  
Why do you only have a couple questions in the staff application?
We feel that filling out the staff application is your way of nudging us and saying "Hey!  Keep an eye on me, I'm interested in becoming staff."  We don't want to choose our staff based on how well they can answer 10 questions in paragraph form.  
What qualities are you looking for when you selecting someone for a staff position?
First and foremost, we want someone who plays a lot on PickAxis.  If you play here, you will likely know all the rules and will get to know a lot of the players in the community.  After that we are looking for people who are respectful, helpful, and good leaders.  
How often do you select new staff? and How many staff positions do you have?
We select staff when we see there is a need for more.  We don't have a limited number of staff members.  
If I am made staff, would I ever be let go?
Yes, if you do something detrimental to the network intentionally, we will let you go.  We will also let you go if you aren't playing on the server.  
What if I have a talent that could be used by the network, but don't necessarily want to be staff?
We have a few people in our community who are good at a lot of different things, like building or creating artwork.  They aren't staff but help in different ways.  We still compensate them for their efforts to improve our community.  If you have a skill or talent you'd like to use to help grow PickAxis, feel free to contact the owners here.

Since island warps are meant to be part of a token reward package, banning is also a part of that. (Setting island warps was previously available to all players for testing.) Keep in mind that at this time, the only thing /is ban does is prevent them from being able to use the warp you've set for your island.

This month's world resets have been completed!
SkyBlock: The End and Nether have been reset. Survival: The End, Nether, and Mining worlds have been reset. Did you leave something behind in the one of the old worlds? Let us know here and we'll help you recover it.Good luck on your hunt for loot!

Thanks for the bug report.  This issue should be fixed when the next update is deployed later today.

The server has bed sethomes enabled to allow the teleportation to the bed you've most recently slept in. Although the survival server is a no grief server, there is occasional griefing  which can be rolled back, but if a player were to grief a players bed by removing it, they would be unable to teleport back to their home. That's why I believe that we should enable automatic locking of beds, or at least allowing beds to be locked.

Hello, I'm Pinball7wiz, I often dabble in sweg and enjoy mining out 100x100 town areas, then leaving them for gg. I often use the terms gg and toplel. Sway is my bae, back off scar. Favorite server is factions.

Hey, guys! I was wondering, since it's getting close to that time of year, if we could do a holiday build competition? I think doing it would be a ton of fun like the super hero/villain build. Like, it'd be a holiday theme, such as Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas. Would that be possible?

You are not the only one, the mojang login and session servers are down for maintenance, it has nothing to do with out server, when Mojang has its servers up you will be able to join. At the moment, no one can join any server which utilizes Mojangs authentication servers. You can check at http://xpaw.ru/mcstatus/ or directly from Mojang at  https://help.mojang.com for when the servers are up.
