So Minecraft 1.9 has arrived and will soon be available on Pickaxis. I have seen lots of players asking questions about the update and how it will be implemented on the the server. This is the place to ask!

I am scared that the entire server will reset and we will all lose our stuff... is this true?

But I am excited about the update otherwise!

Not at all!  We won't be resetting any servers for the 1.9 update.  Additionally, we would never reset a server without providing advance warning.
