If you fall off your island using /spawn instantly takes you to spawn and as you cannot die in the spawn it saves you allowing falling to not be a issue but using /is kills you but keeps you items on the island. A possible fix is to put a wait time until you are teleported to spawn or to your island.

Fixed. There is now a 3 second delay between teleports.

Uh yeah it also works with /is

although you need a specific set up which is the only way it works for me
