Mob Trouble (very Important)

Recommended Posts

In the times I have been on this server me and my friend TheBigdog844 have started an amazing island, Yet we have been experiencing many cases of mobs killing us whenever we try to navigate our island.  This has happened countless times and I feel that mob count should be reduced so that we are able to navigate and build our island without worry.  I know that this will affect mob farms and iron farms but right now I find it the best solution.

Thanks for reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please do something about it.

Yeah the best idea is to place torches in a grid pattern, always 3 blocks between each torch, That will prevent hostiles from spawning.

We already limit the mobs to 25 per chunk, Skyblock has always been a magnet for massive mob buildup.

P.S. If you dont like the look of torches, try glowstone in the floor with carpet on top, or snow :)

I mean to me there is no problem, torches look okay but if you don't like them heck, skyblock isn't all about being pretty unless your in the top 10 for is level.. (That's my outlook)

Also with the torches I place them every four blocks and mobs still don't spawn because the light level does not go below 8. (7 being mobs can spawn)

Also antoher favorite of mine is jack-o-lanterns they look good and are easier to get than glow stone.
